Our summer interns include Nivedan, who is returning for a second summer with us as our marketing and communications intern! Maya is our RD intern, working closely with our Resource Development team, and Katelin is our videographer and communications intern. She will be creating a video series, taking photos, and helping communications work!

Terra Kaethler is our Community Impact Officer for the Central Nanaimo area. Terra recently relocated from Vancouver, BC, where she was the Manager of Grants and Community Initiatives at the Vancouver Foundation. In that role, she supported community agencies across the province to influence system change, specifically in the areas of poverty reduction, health and social development and the environment. Prior to this she worked as a Social Planner at the City of Vancouver to develop and implement the Vancouver Food Strategy. Terra brings expertise in social innovation, community grantmaking and project management as well as an MA in Community Planning.
Nicole Benson is our Communications Manager. Nicole recently relocated from Whitehorse, YT, where she was the Communications and Social Marketing Analyst for the Department of Justice, Government of Yukon. Prior to this she worked in post secondary as the Marketing Coordinator for Keyano College. Nicole is a dedicated professional who brings years of strategic communications and marketing experience as well as a Bachelors of Business Administration with a speciality in marketing, communications, and management to her new role.
