Nanaimo Family Life Association has put a call out for volunteers and contractors for the new Better at Home program for seniors living at home.
The Better at Home Program is designed to keep seniors in their homes longer. The initiative, funded by the Provincial Government, managed by United Way and hosted by Nanaimo Family Life Association aims to keep seniors more comfortable by providing light services that would assist in their quality of life. We are currently seeking both volunteers and paid contractors to assist us. We are looking for Friendly Visitors, Housekeepers, Handyman Services, Drivers, and Light Gardening Services. All successful applicants must submit a criminal records check. These positions would suit self-employed or retired workers seeking part-time hours.
